Ultra Pure Water Module

Rotek offers a wide variety of Ultra Pure Water (UPW) modules using ion exchange resins. These systems include water softeners, deionizers(Mixed Bed Polisher), and electro-deionization.

Ion exchange is a water treatment process that is used to remove ions from water to purify it. This process is often used in conjunction with other water treatment methods to achieve a high level of water purity.

Ion exchange works by using a resin or other type of medium that is charged with ions. When water is passed through the ion exchange medium, the ions in the water are attracted to the charged ions in the medium and are exchanged for them. This results in removing specific ions from the water and adding other ions to the water.

Ion exchange is often used to remove specific ions from water, such as calcium, magnesium, and sodium ions. It is also used to remove contaminants such as heavy metals and radioactive particles. In addition, ion exchange is often used to soften water by removing calcium and magnesium ions, which can cause hard water.

Water Softener

Capacity: 1,000 - 25,000 LPH

A water softener reduces the calcium and magnesium ion concentration in hard water which causes hard-scale build-up. It also inhibits the cleaning effect of detergent formulations.

Mixed Bed Polisher

Capacity: 25 - 7,500 LPH

Rotek mixed bed polisher is designed to treat RO permeate water, in order to deliver higher purity water for commercial and industrial applications, such as rinse water for electronics.

Electrodeionization (EDI) System

Capacity: 100 - 7,000 LPH

EDI system is superior to a conventional mixed-bed deionization system both in ease of operation and maintenance. In addition, no chemicals are used for regeneration during the purification process.
